The band returned to the studio Sept 18-21 to record the long-awaited 3rd album. This is the first time AC has recorded as a 3-piece and it's been a BLAST (although a little challenging). Criss and Corey are both playing drums on the record and the songs are sounding great! 13 songs in 4 days...all the music is finished, now the band is overdubbing vocals, we'll keep ya posted.
AC Plays Political After Party
Yes, it's true! Former President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore spoke at the Tennessee Democrat Party Jackson Day Dinner in Nashville on August 29, and AC was asked to perform at the after party!

and this website is a little dated. WE KNOW! OK? At the end of this year (when the 3rd studio album "A Brand New Day" is finished) we will be repackaging EVERYTHING!

New Venues!
Check AC out in new cities and venues across the Southeast this year! Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville was a huge hit as well as Ember's in Columbia, TN (CC3 spot). Fort Campbell, KY's O'Conner's and new venues in Mississippi, Birmingham, AL, Paducah (Fat Moe's) and Florida are also being added to the list soon!
Man From CA Tries to Break Criss' World Record
"Very cool situation, though!" (Criss) "Joe Ferrara actually called me several times asking for advice and wanting me to fly out to support him. I almost did, but we were booked..."
Although the event was for a good purpose, to raise awareness and money for prostate cancer research, Joe was unsuccessful, only playing for a little over 12-hours before having to stop.
The Sunset Series, featuring regional/national acts weekly in Owensboro, KY, had reached a place where the city had considered pulling the plug. "If you guys don't have atleast 1500 people at the show (there were less than 200 people the previous week), the city will have to cancel the Sunset Series for good" (Heath Eric - director).
Thanks to the AC-heads in Kentucky, August Christopher brought over 2000 people alone and had a memorable three-man 3 hour all-original show that TORE THE HOUSE DOWN! The Sunset Series lives on!

Criss, being one of the only acts to have performed at the marathon every year it's existed: "It's absolutely AMAZING to see 25,000 runners all at one time. It's a beautiful sea of people and is breathtaking!"
In an effort to promote the marathon, the Nashville Sports Council and New Balance have teamed up and created a compilation CD. AC songs STAR, INSIDE HER HEAD and CHANGE THE WORLD have been chosen for the compilation.
As if being an actor, world record holder, screen show director, producer and...oh yeah, frontman of AC, Criss has officially re-launched his talk radio show!
The show, "Welcome To The Big Letdown", debuted in January '09 live on 97X in Owensboro, KY and aired for 4 months..
"The first show was an absolute rush! I was scared to death but still confident; but this new time slot is crazy. My audience will be much bigger... I'm very excited!"
Now "W2TBL" is BACK, sponsored by BUDWEISER, CROWN ROYAL, and FRANKIE'S SPORTS BAR AND GAMES, where the show is broadcast LIVE at the club every Tuesday night from 9-10pm on 97x (the show is also streamed online at owensbororadio.com.)

AC performed at The Beaumont Club in Kansas City headlining the crawlforcancer.org benefit. Several thousand were in attendance, the entire benefit raised OVER $600,000!!!
Unfortunately, Criss decided to attack JR in the van, ended upside-down and stuck for several minutes. Later that night, Criss attacked Corey in the hotel room, cracking his head open and bleeding all over the place. "Everything is fine now, no hospital trips thank the Lord," (Criss) "I was just releasing some energy, yknow".

What an amazing show! Loverboy was awesome, playing all their huge hits from the 80's. No doubt AC and Peyton Turner rocked the runway at the airport playing as the opener. It was a blast and pics are available online HERE!

That's right, star of the biggest reality TV show last year "Rock of Love" (featuring Bret Michaels of 'Poison'), Peyton Turner, has teamed with August Christopher and the group's first show was a huge success! "Peyton was fun and ROCKED! It was awesome to play with her. AC heads are going to really enjoy watching her" (Criss). Peyton performs original songs from her upcoming record with the band. Look for many AC/Peyton Turner shows this year, including Woody's this Saturday and "Rocking The Runway" w/Loverboy in September!
